To some, the process of life seems to be inevitable. You wake up in the morning, you get ready for work, you go to work, and you come home. Now granted, not everyday will be great and wonderful. Most of the time you have more upsets than happiness. But the remedy is harder to grasp onto than people think. You can have something really bad happen or be in a total slump and somehow have the courage to stand up and say “It will all work out.” But unfortunately, Sometimes it only gets worse. When will anything good happen for you?
A lot of people believe that the only good luck comes from the things that you do in your own life and that you make your own luck. If that were true everyone in the world wold have more money and more freedom to do things as they please. Take those annoying “get rich quick” commercials. They tell you what they did, how they did it and that you can do it too. But what they really want is your $29.95 for their program. They never physically tell you that the results will not be the same for everyone. But they do advertise it in the smallest letters at the very bottom of your television screen. Now I don’t think that if those programs worked for those people, that they would advertise it to others. And if it did why would you even want to sell someone else the opportunity to steel your thunder? But that’s it isn’t it. They make their money by getting people to buy a program that is designed to make you run in circles and possibly make a little change. But not enough to change your life.
Is it strange that the job you knew good and well you were qualified for is given to someone you knew good and well was not? That’s not anything new. Employers hire friends and other co-workers in place of those who know the job better than they. But again, you are left in the dust with a bad taste in your mouth. And wonder why this happened to you. You have a good job, and you are a great asset to the company and you get fired so someone can hire their son or daughter who knows nothing about the job you do.
I can’t really explain the lottery. But what I can tell you is that there are those who play to win, those that play for fun and those that play expecting to win. Now let’s look at this logically. If you don’t play, you can’t win. If you hope to win, you kind of expect to win. But if you totally expect to win? You never will. If you hope to win, you just might. It’s thinking philosophically. Hoping for the best but expecting the worst.
But why doesn’t it ever happen for you. Then when someone wins the lottery that we think really shouldn’t have, We get so angry and bitter about it that we just want to strangle that person. Because, it should have been “me”.
Is there anyone out there that thinks life should be different and better? Are most of us here to suffer, wither away and die, hoping day in and day out for a miracle? Why should we all feel so bad for a celebrity, who has millions of dollars, can have anything they want, without a care in the world, who destroys their own life with drugs and alcohol abuse or crime. Is this not Insane!? Most of us would give anything to have just a fraction of what these people have, and they throw their lives away. For What? Attention, Spotlight. Has their time come and gone and the only way to get it back is sympathy for how depressed they are? Not buying it.
There are millions of people starving in the world, No families, no clothes, no education, no job, no money. But nobody wants to help them either. Perhaps these same people had everything and by some random crisis, they lost everything. Those who lose everything they had because of their own stupidity, deserves to. Yet there are some out there that have it all and then some, but want more. There are those who had nothing and don’t want anything. There are those who are comfortable but want a better life. Then there are those who just have the worst luck in the world, yet they are forgotten.
There are people in the world with such disdain and greed that never have had anything happen to them. We live a life of goodness, kindness, and would give the shirt off our back and our last dollar to help someone we love and then they die. This is a sort of spiritual injustice all good people face and no one knows why.
So what can we do? It’s just enough for us to get by and hope that the next day is better than today. keep trying and never give up. But you will always wonder why this is the time that God forgot. There are people with no religion in their life that pray and pray for the smallest good thing to.. just help them out, and yet it only gets worse. Anyone with a good heart and a good soul should never be made to suffer and wonder why these things happen to good people. Of course this day and age, I’m not sure how many of us are left.
