The Annapolis Mall

The Westfield Annapolis mall is situated in Annapolis, Maryland, near I-97 and US Route 50, was built in 1980 and it is currently undergoing a great expansion project which will add 60 more stores to the already existing 20, as well as 250,000 square feet to the actual 1.2 million square feet surface.

The mall is anchored by Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, Macy’s, JC Penney and Sears, but major stores like Abercrombie & Fitch, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor and Apple Store can also be found. Moreover, there are approximately 20 specialty-food and fast-food eateries. Most of the shops and services are open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on weekdays and on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The mall’s family-friendly amenities include the Kiddie Kruzzers stroller rental for free, Westfield Children’s Playtown, two Family Lounges and Expectant Mother Parking. The mall also offers free wireless internet connection. Parking is free, but there are no valet parking services available at the moment (there are plans with regard to this facility).

While the Galley Food Court is very popular among teenagers, the 11-screen Bow Tie movie theatre can surely satisfy anyone.

In 2006 an off-duty US Secret Service agent was shot by a man involved in an altercation with another one in the food court of the mall. The agent shot back, but a third person was also wounded. Westfield was forced to improve security.

Those who are interested in working in this mall must complete a form at the mall. Unfortunately there are no web pages related to this issue.
